M23 rebels (supp by Rwanda) in the eastern DRC has warned Congolese govt troops in Goma that the 48-hour ultimatum to lay down their arms is approaching. UN Security Council meeting moved up to today. UN and SADC troops remain. Expect further battles around Goma soon
3 day agoGoma: The '8e CEPAC La Source' church announced this morning the suspension of its services due to the security situation in the city. Officials explained that worshippers are invited to continue praying from their homes. The Swahili service currently in progress has also been suspended. The Church is calling for vigilance, while urging believers to pray for peace and security in the city
